ABOUT RUTH

Ruth Binney (neé Chanter) spent her childhood in Tiverton where her father was a housemaster at Blundell’s School. She is now settled in Yeovil, Somerset, and engaged in a variety of projects which include both writing and painting. Her latest book, Garden Wildlife on Trial, a sequel to Weeds on Trial will initially to be available as an e-book. She has completed several landscape painting commissions and is also helping to create a series of children’s books. As well as time with family and friends, and enjoying the countryside and her garden, walking netball, painting classes and board games are among the many activities she enjoys. read more

CONSULTANCY

Ruth acts as a consultant to publishers on the development and commissioning of new book projects in a wide range of subjects including cookery, gardening, home making, health, popular science and word books. She also takes on the checking of edited texts in these areas. For David and Charles she was most recently the editor of a new edition of Brian Martin’s Country Lives Remembered and commissioning editor of their successful ‘Voices’ series. READ MORE
